- How do I pay for my skip?
- We accept cheque and card payments. Payment must be made when you take delivery of the skip. If you are a company you can set up an account – please click here or contact us to request a credit application form to be sent to you.
- What type of waste can I put in the skip?
- General waste, furniture, wood, plasterboard, glass, garden waste, hardcore & soil. Special enclosed skips can be supplied for food waste. Asbestos can be removed with prior consultation. We are unable to accept tyres, fridges, freezers or computers. Although we can point you in the right direction should you have such wastes to dispose of.
- How long can I have the skip for?
- The standard hire period is 10 days.
- Do I need to arrange a permit for the skip?
- No, If the skip is being placed on your drive or in your garden you will not require an On the road skip permit. However, if you are unsure, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Yes, if the skip is being placed on the public highway. We will make the application to the local council for a Skip Permit on your behalf. The price for the permit varies from council to council. Once we know what council is responsible for your area, we can give you the price for this service over the phone. Generally, a decision regarding the permit application is received within 2 – 4 working days.
- How quick can you deliver?
- In order to maintain our high standards of service we need to have 24 hours notice. Although if you urgently require a skip on the same day, we will do our best to accommodate you.
- Are there any other important facts I should be made aware of when ordering a skip?

Yes, firstly you must ensure you do not overload the skip. This is illegal and we are unable to carry a skip with an unsafe load. Overloaded skips can not be moved as this causes a significant danger to pedestrians, other road users and the environment.
Secondly, you must ensure that the location of the skip does not cause an obstruction and or compromise health & safety.
Finally, once the skip has been delivered, you must not attempt to move the skip. If you need to re position the skip, please contact the skip department on 01179 802593. - How do I ensure the skip is not overloaded?
- Only fill the skip so that the load is level with the top walls of the skip. However, if you are unsure please do not hesitate to contact the skip department on 01179 802593.
