“B & A are always my first choice for muck away services and aggregate delivery on my various past and present projects in the South-West and Gloucestershire. These include Weston-Super-Mare, Tewksbury, Gloucester and Bristol . They are very helpful in assisting with environmental concerns both before and during the project and ensure that the waste is removed to a licenced facility. All records, duty-of-care requirements and compliance requirements are met thanks to their comprehensive yet personal service. If I have any last minute requirements their transport team often has the flexibility to get me the wagons in as requested”.
Geoff Isles, Director – D & K Groundworks
“Bristol and Avon Transport and Recycling removed over 10,000 loads of subsoil from this new Energy from Waste Plant in Avonmouth. The contract involved providing an excavator to load with a CPCS qualified operator, and a qualified Banksman to load the tipper vehicles, the site was a very busy site and vehicle co-ordination was controlled by Bristol and Avon Banksman on a daily basis. The works were completed to a tight programme involving removing an average of 100 loads from site per day for 6 months. The works were completed on schedule and with no lost time incidents. The soils from this site were used as cohesive fill to form a development platform for a distribution park development.” Gareth Phillips, Civil Site Manager – Hitachi Zosen Inova AG
“We have often drawn on Bristol & Avon to help with the more unusual and contaminated waste queries. They are able to draw on their network of treatment options in the South West, which enhances our own business scope to deal with brownfield sites in the South East. We are very happy to have B & A as allies and work together whenever possible.”
