Meningitis Now Five Valleys Walk

Sunday 29 September  2019.

Meningitis Now will be holding their flagship sponsored walk on Sunday 29th September 2019.

The walk encompassing 21 Miles is suitable for all ages and abilities and takes in the beautiful Cotswold countryside. It is separated into 8 different checkpoints so that walkers can do as much or as little of the course as they are comfortable with.

Starting at Stroud Cricket club and moving onto Nailsworth, Minchinhampton Common, Brimscombe, Lypiatt, Slad, Pitchcombe and finally Standish Wood.  Refreshments are available at every stage. A convenient shuttle bus takes you back to your starting point and car.

Route maps and detailed walking instructions are given out by the checkpoint marshals prior to the event. Checkpoints open at 8.30am and close at 5.30pm, free water is available at each checkpoint.  The event goes ahead whatever the weather, so be prepared for all conditions.

A pledge of just £50 will fund:

  • 1,500 Symptom Cards
  • 1 hour with a Bereavement Counsellor for someone who has lost a family member.

The Five Valleys Walk is still available to enter, you can even sign up for it on the day if needed.
