Staff Profile - Karen Alexander

Karen Alexander - B&A Group

Karen is a long-standing member of B&A group, and is celebrating her 10-year anniversary with us!

After returning from her travels in Australia, she joined us as a temp, but due to her skills, experience and attitude, became a permanent member of the team as our Group Office Manager.

Karen is essential to the smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis. Not only does she look after HR, including all important training requirements and payroll for our staff, but she’s also responsible for maintaining our ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations - which allow us to provide consistent quality that meets our customer objectives. Karen also manages our facilities maintenance, third-party agreements and supplier contract renewals.

When we asked Karen what she likes most about working at B&A and why she has stayed with us for so long, she said that it’s down to the variety. Every single day is different, and she loves the diversity of her role - how it keeps her on her toes and how it allows her to be involved in so many projects. Karen says that being around a strong team and forming great friendships with them is also a highlight.

Outside of work, Karen loves to escape the hustle and bustle by heading down to the coast for the weekend, setting up home in her VW camper van. She also enjoys traveling abroad and visited over 40 countries in total.

We’d like to thank Karen for her amazing hard work over the last 10 years, and how she has contributed to the high level of service we are proud of. Like Karen, we are looking forward to watching B&A group grow and expand further in the future.
