B&A Group’s New Recycling Process

B&A Group’s New Recycling Process

In keeping true to our values of environmental responsibility, in October, B&A Group started utilising a new process for recycling as a means of waste management in Avonmouth. The ultimate goal of our efforts is to work towards zero landfill.

In support of recycling and in an effort to reduce our impact on the environment at B&A, we recently invested more than £500,000 in our materials recycling facility’s new process. As a result of this, we are able to work toward achieving having zero landfill by the end of 2016.

Now, 99.4% of our skip waste is being recycled in a method that allows us to export RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel), through which our waste ends up at an energy recovery plant in Europe that generates electricity and heat rather than a landfill. B&A has secured a contract with this company to export 10,000 tonnes of waste annually.

We are proud to announce that we are Bristol’s only skip hire company utilising this process, here in Bristol, which gives our customers just another reason to be proud to use our company for all of their skip hire needs.
