B&A staff raise money for UK’s largest meningitis charity
As you may be aware, we at B&A Group have pledged to raise £100,000 for Meningitis Now, one of the UK’s foremost meningitis charities. The charity offers advice about the disease as well as funding research that will one day produce a vaccine that protects all strains of the disease. Here at B&A Group, we’re immensely proud of our ongoing association with Meningitis Now and we have previously held major fundraising campaigns, including our Meningitis Lorry venture. Over the Christmas period, however, our staff got involved again and donated money from their own pockets.
On December 16th, our employees donned their jolliest Christmas jumpers and each made a donation to the charity. Four days later they contributed again, by holding a Christmas Hamper Raffle and donating the proceeds to Meningitis Now. The hamper itself was lovingly made by Clare Berkely and contained a succulent assortment of wine, chocolates and other festive treats. The lucky (and deserving) winner was our Purchase Ledger Clerk, Debbie Jordan. Overall, the raffle raised a further £54.
If you’d like to find out more about the charity, visit their website at https://www.meningitisnow.org/. We will continue to raise money for Meningitis Now until we meet our £100,000 target. However, we need all the help we can get, so please visit our fundraising page today and give generously.
