This month’s staff profile is for the wonderful Peter Deynard who is celebrating his 15th anniversary with B&A Group this December!
Pete has been in the industry for an impressive 23 years now, joining us as a weighbridge assistant before progressing to the B&A Group’s accounts department manager and achieving his AAT qualifications.
As part of his role, Pete is in charge of maintaining the accounting records, ensuring that customers are invoiced in a timely manner and supplier invoices are received and paid accordingly. Pete also liaises with each department in the business to ensure that all information is up to date and accurate. One of the things that Pete loves best about working at B&A is that despite the company’s growth over recent years, we have still been able to effectively maintain working relationships between all departments as well as those with both customers and suppliers.
We asked Pete how he felt about reaching his 15th anniversary with B&A, to which he said: “Scared by how quickly the time has gone! The company feels unrecognisable from the day I joined and pleased to have played a part in helping with the growth of the business.”
Director, Clare Berkely added “Whilst the company has changed dramatically over the last 15 years, Pete has remained committed to the progression of his role and has been instrumental in supporting the growth of the business. We are extremely lucky to have Pete as part of our team, a sentiment shared by all at B&A Group.”
Outside of work, Pete loves attending gigs and festivals as well as spending time with Oscar and Becka. He also enjoys watching Bristol City and the Bristol Bears and when he’s at home, he likes to read and build Lego (sometimes with Oscar too).
Similar to most of us, Pete is really looking forward to the Christmas break and being able to spend quality time with family! On more of a business front, he is keen to continue working towards our goal of becoming fully paperless in 2024. Pete is also looking forward to evolving his role as B&A Group grows and expands further.
