With a firm focus on environmental legislation and client budget we create competitive cost effective solutions. We also consider the logistics and routing of your waste, maximizing fleet fuel efficiency and reducing our carbon footprint.
Our team of trained technicians will visit your site to take samples and conduct in-situ testing to identify any ground contamination present. With this information, we schedule chemical testing and correctly classify the soil. We use UKAS accredited laboratories with a full range of analytical equipment to identify hydrocarbons, poly aromatic hydrocarbons, heavy metals, asbestos, sulphates, BTEX and SVOCs that may be present in contaminated soils. Once a result is confirmed, we advise on how to move forward to remediation, to include bioremediation techniques and/or disposal if necessary, keeping costs low and minimising the effects on the environment.
In addition, we regularly perform asbestos identification and quantification testing, as well as on-site gas and PID monitoring and borehole water dipping. We have the ability to schedule physical performance testing of aggregate and soils to meet highways works specified requirements. We also conduct topsoil testing to BS3882, alongside the associated chemical testing. For more information regarding Top Soil visit our page or contact us.
Through our in house assessors we are able to deal with soil reports received very efficiently. Reports can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. B&A Group will provide a comprehensive assessment of your muck away.
Waste Recovery and Disposal sites
Bristol and Avon Group operate a range of permitted sites, recovery and recycling facilities, most of which currently accept inert, hazardous and/or non-hazardous soils that would otherwise need to be landfilled. We operate treatment facilities for hazardous soils and asbestos impacted soils. We can also offer treatment and re-use of tar bound tarmac and planings.
Our technical team offer a bespoke service tailored to each client’s specific needs, ensuring each case is treated with an appropriate and efficient solution. We have a waste transfer station for receiving all construction & mixed waste types, along with a permitted recycling yard for various soil types including non hazardous soils, tarmac, concrete and general hardcore.
Our sites are operated with the relevant environmental permits issued by the Environment Agency and are fully compliant with their regulations whilst adhering to our environmental and health & safety policies.
